2021-2022 Terms and Conditions for Ticket Purchases

Seattle Shakespeare Company is committed to the health and safety of our visitors, artists, volunteers, and staff. In compliance with developing guidelines issued by federal, state, and local governments, Seattle Shakespeare has put in place preventative measures to try to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the Center Theatre and other venues where we may perform.

By purchasing a ticket to a Seattle Shakespeare Company event, or by entering or by one’s presence in a Seattle Shakespeare Company venue, a theatre goer agrees to abide by all COVID-19 safety protocols as determined by Seattle Shakespeare Company at the time of the event. This could include but is not limited to mask wearing, temperature checks, proof of vaccination, social distancing, and use of credit cards to purchase concessions and merchandise. Theatregoer agrees to adjust any behavior as instructed by members of Seattle Shakespeare Company staff, should a staff member determine such behavior to be unsafe and request such an adjustment. Specific safety protocols will be listed on seattleshakespeare.org prior to performances and may be updated at any time.

Safety For All

With safety for all at the forefront, Seattle Shakespeare is implementing a mandatory vaccination policy for all employees, volunteers, and visitors to the Center Theatre as well as mask requirements while in the building. This includes all audiences attending our performances during the 2021-2022 season.

Vaccination Required Entry

Every audience member must be fully vaccinated and will be required to show in person proof of vaccination authorized by the FDA or WHO, against COVID-19 upon entering the theater. At this time, children under the age of 12, for whom there is currently no available vaccination, will not be permitted to attend performances.

Masks Required While in Building

Per agreements with our theatrical unions and with the advice from health and safety experts, everyone, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a face covering when speaking with Seattle Shakespeare staff or volunteers, in all guest areas around the Center Theatre including Will Call, the lobby, hallways, bathrooms, the theater, and moving around. Patrons have the option of removing their mask when they are eating or drinking in the lobby. Food and drink will not be allowed in the seating area.

The nature of our performance space is very intimate, and we are taking the utmost precautions to ensure the safety of our artists and our audiences.

Additional Safety

Added safety measures include low-contact entry experience for visitors arriving at the theater, and rigorous cleaning and sanitation protocols throughout the building.

Specific health and safety protocols are determined by Seattle Shakespeare Company in its sole discretion and are subject to change. We will continue to consult with medical advisors and monitor CDC and State guidelines, and these policies may be updated as conditions evolve. Seattle Shakespeare will strive to communicate substantial changes to health and safety protocols in advance of performances. Ticket Holders should review the Seattle Shakespeare website periodically to identify changes impacting one’s ability to attend based on individual circumstances.

Seattle Shakespeare may, in its sole discretion, refuse to allow admission to any Ticket Holder who does not comply with the company’s policies.
