A comic knot of mistaken identities.
Tom is very excited to be working on his first production with Seattle Shakespeare Company. Tom is a writer, actor, director, teacher, and clown. He has studied acting and clowning with a variety of teachers locally and internationally — including George Lewis and Robin Lynn Smith at Freehold Theatre, and Sue Morrison at the Theatre Resource Center in Toronto. His main interest of late is devising original work such as the acclaimed clown piece, Banquet. In June 2015, Tom premiered his short play The Plague at On The Boards in Seattle. Recently, he has taught clown for youth at the Village Theatre and co-taught beginner and advanced classes for adults with George Lewis at Freehold Theatre. Tom also has engineering degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and The University of California at Berkeley.
