Your Favorite Shakespeare Performance

The Tempest

We love all the attention that The New York Times has been giving to the Shakespeare performances currently happening in New York. With productions of “Twelfth Night,” “Richard III,” “Romeo and Juliet,” “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” and “Macbeth” … if you’re a Shakespeare lover, it’s like being let loose in the candy store.

Today (Nov 21, 2013), Charles Isherwood riffs on the question of “What’s your Favorite Shakespeare Performance?”  He dives deep into the archives to pull out some performances as far back as 1960. And many of them are London or East Coast based shows.  Surely there are some West Coast Shakespeare performances that have rocked.  Do you have a favorite?  Let us know in the comments because we’d love to hear from you.
