The general auditions for Seattle Shakespeare Company’s 2013 Wooden O season will be held on Monday, March 4th. We will have 3-minute slots available from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Auditions will be taking place on the 4th floor of the Center House (Armory Bldg) in TPS Room B. Audition requirements are one Shakespearean monologue, preferably in verse. You might potentially be asked to sing, so please have a few a capella bars prepared.
The shows being produced are The Tempest, directed by Kelly Kitchens and Henry V, directed by George Mount. The shows begin rehearsals on June 10th, open July 11th, and close August 11th. There will be no touring out of the Puget Sound region this summer.
Call-backs for the shows will be March 18th and 19th between 6:00 PM and 11:00 PM. At these auditions, you will be reading sides from the shows. We will NOT contact all general auditioners after their audition. If you do not hear from us, please assume that you were not called-back.
Each show has three AEA slots, 7-10 non-AEA slots and several intern opportunities.
If you are interested in being scheduled for a general audition, please email casting and we’ll get you a slot.
Thanks, and we look forward to hearing from you.
