Light cues! Sound cues! Excitement! We invite you to join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at a working tech rehearsal. Prior to the start of the rehearsal, you’ll enjoy light refreshments in the lobby and mingle with Seattle Shakespeare Company’s Artistic and Managing Directors. Then, you’ll head into the theatre to meet the Director of the play and observe the tech rehearsal in progress. This benefit is available for our Patron-level donors and above.
First Read & Designer Presentations
The room is always filled with excitement at the first read, as artists rejoice in meeting old colleagues and new, and attendees get the first glimpse of the team that will bring the show to life. Before the read-through, you’ll enjoy homemade cookies (baked by John Bradshaw himself!) and plenty of friendly mingling with the artists, other supporters, and Seattle Shakespeare Company board members and staff. Then, the director of the play will introduce his/her vision for the production and the designers will present their concepts for the lighting, sound, set, and costumes. Once the presentations are complete, you’re welcome to stay and listen to the first read through of the script for as long as you would like. This benefit is available for our Champion-level donors and above.
These events are by invitation only. Please click here to learn more about joining our family of supporters, or contact Lauren Domino, Development Director, at 206-733-8228 x.268.
