Powerful, dark, and energizing, “Measure for Measure” is espresso for the soul. Shakespeare twists and turns the knife on both saints and sinners as some of his most colorful, and often hilarious, characters face grave moral issues. Lives hang in the balance as Duke Vincentio, Lord Angelo, the nun Isabella, and her brother Claudio grapple with sexual harassment and the abuse of power. Director Todd Jamieson takes the audience on a modern-day odyssey from the halls of justice to whorehouses, convents to prisons.
