Short Shakes at Seattle Shakespeare Company is more than just putting on a play, it is an experience that fosters compassion, creates better listeners, promotes critical thinking, and develops courage. And it’s a whole lot of fun with new friends. Who knew a play could do all that?
You will audition, rehearse, and perform your own classic play. Seattle theatre professionals lead a seven-week process that culminates in three performances. All the while, you’ll make friends, learn about Shakespeare’s language, discover basic acting concepts and techniques, hone your comedy skills, and step into roles that may stretch you, but in a good way.

Hamlet
Rehearsals begin Sunday, October 24. Rehearsals will be held on Sundays from 5:00-7:30 p.m. and on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00-8:30 p.m. (Additional technical rehearsals may be added prior to opening.)
Performances: December 5 at 5 p.m., December 6 and 7 at 7 p.m.
Enrollment Deadline: Wednesday, October 13
Cost: $295 (discounts available for enrollment prior to October 1)
The Merry Wives of Windsor
Rehearsal begin Sunday, March 13. Rehearsals will be held on Sundays from 5:00-7:30 p.m. and on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00-8:30 p.m. (Additional technical rehearsals may be added prior to opening.)
Performances: May 45 at 7 p.m., May 7 and 8 at 5 p.m.
Enrollment Deadline: Wednesday, March 2
