Short Shakes at Seattle Shakespeare Company is more than just putting on a play, it is an experience that fosters compassion, creates better listeners, promotes critical thinking, and develops courage. And it’s a whole lot of fun with new friends. Who knew a play could do all that?!

You will audition, rehearse, and perform your own classic play. Seattle theatre professionals lead a seven-week process that culminates in four performances. All the while, you’ll make friends, learn about Shakespeare’s language, discover basic acting concepts and techniques, hone your comedy skills, and step into roles that may stretch you, but in a good way.

     For students aged 11 to 18.
