At Home with Shakespeare
Home School Programs
Seattle Shakespeare Company offers special 1-day intensive workshops to accompany our matinees, geared specifically toward home school families who want their students to have a richer experience with Shakespeare. Each workshop begins with a play introduction before students watch the matinee, and ends with a 90-minute text and scene workshop for students to explore Shakespeare’s language and themes of the play.
Register soon, because each session has a minimum number of students needed for it to take place, and a maximum enrollment limit!

At 10:30 a.m., students will see a student matinee of one of our mainstage shows, followed by a post-show discussion with the actors. After a brief lunch break, there will be a 90-minute post-show workshop. Students will be introduced to Shakespeare's text and the specific play being performed, participate in a Q&A session with members of the cast, and spend time analyzing and exploring themes of the play.
