Shakespeare’s Circus: Mid-Winter Break Camp

Campers learn to juggle rings while learning about Shakespeare’s great clown characters at the 2011 Shakespeare’s Fools camp with Seattle Shakespeare Company and Teatro ZinZanni.

Great for young actors looking to combine Shakespeare and physical comedy in a week-long camp!

It’s Midsummer in mid-winter! Come and join us as we combine the greatest playwright in the English language with world-class circus artists. Shakespeare’s Circus is a week-long mid-winter break camp for students, presented by Seattle Shakespeare Company and the ZinZanni Institute for Circus Arts. Through a series of workshops with local artists from the Shakespeare Company and members of the international cast of Teatro ZinZanni, campers will learn the basics of clowning, acrobatics, and stage combat in the context of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. There will be an open class for parents to come watch on Friday starting at 2:00pm.
