Julius Caesar

Regime change begins at Rome. In election year 2004, Wooden O presented Shakespeare's ultimate ambiguius political tragedy. In a staging that starts in modern dress as the conspiricy mounts and quickly devolves to Roman garb as the power vacuum expands, Wooden O's Julius Caesar leaves open the questions of left or right and leaves us to wondering the nature of power itself.

"Far craftier and more ambitious than anyone has the right to expect from free entertainment. It's a great-looking spin on the play."
Steve Wiecking, Seattle Weekly
