Hans is pleased to return to Seattle Shakespeare Company where he has appeared in Romeo and Juliet, Othello, The Comedy of Errors and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Other theatre credits include Seattle Repertory Theatre, Intiman, ACT Theatre, Seattle Children’s Theatre, Wooden O Theatre, Geva Theatre, Shakespeare Santa Cruz as well as others. His love to Amy, Stella Blue and especially Charlotte for her peerless creativity.
John Bogar (a Captain, Banquo, the Porter, a Murderer)
SSC: Othello (Cassio/Duke), A Midsummer Night’s Dream tour (Oberon)
John is delighted to rejoin this company and the chamber series. Since last appearing on this stage, he has originated the role of Edward in the Village Theater Originals musical Fairystories, played Noah in Intiman’s The Grapes of Wrath and the title role in Wooden O Theatre’s Macbeth. Some favorite past roles include Charlie Anderson in Shenandoah, Kent in King Lear and Iachimo in Cymbeline for the Texas Shakespeare Festival, and, while earning an MFA from Columbia University, Hamlet, Astrov in Uncle Vanya and Iago in Othello. John will return to Seattle Shakespeare Company in its upcoming production of The School For Scandal.
Gordon Carpenter (Duncan, Macduff, a Witch, a Murderer / Fight Choreographer)

Gordon is, as always, happy to be working with Seattle Shakespeare Company. In addition to his work here, he has over the years worked at many Seattle area theatres, including Seattle Repertory Theatre, ACT Theatre, and Seattle Children’s Theatre. He has also performed for Montana Shakespeare in the Parks, Georgia Shakespeare Festival, NW Children’s Theater in Portland, as well as theaters in Florida, New York, and Los Angeles. He is a member of the Society of American Fight Directors.
Jennifer Sue Johnson (Lady Macbeth, Fleans, a Nun, Young Seyard, a Witch)
SSC: Othello (Desdemona/Bianca), Twelfth Night (Viola - ‘03, Valentine - ‘96)
Jennifer Sue is a company member at Book-It Repertory Theatre, originating roles in Broken for You, Pride and Prejudice, Lady Chatterley’s Lover and Ethan Frome. She also played the Mickser in I am of Ireland. At Seattle Children’s Theatre she appeared in The Big Friendly Giant, Into the West, The Book of Ruth and The Boxcar Children. Jennifer Sue has performed at numerous area theatres, including Seattle Repertory Theatre, Village Theatre, and Tacoma Actors Guild. She also toured the west as Maggie in Lend Me a Tenor with the Montana Repertory Theatre. Jennifer Sue is the voice of Fay Fuller, the first woman to climb Mount Rainier, in the PBS documentary Rainier the Mountain and can be seen as Julie Claiborne in the local indie film Joyful Partaking in the Sorrows of Life. She is the proud mom of three-year old Mia.
Leslie Law (Rosse, Lady Macduff, a Witch)

Leslie’s recent Seattle area roles include Reckless Mary in Mitzi’s Abortion at ACT Theatre, Miss Orange Tree in The Sorcerer’s Apprentice at Seattle Children’s Theatre, and The Beggar Woman in The 5th Avenue Theatre’s Sweeney Todd (Seattle Times Footlight Award). She has also appeared with Seattle Repertory Theatre, Tacoma Actors Guild, Village Theatre, One World Theatre, Eastside Musical Theatre, Civic Light Opera, and the late great AHA! and Bathhouse Theatres. She is particularly proud of her long association with Seattle Children’s Theatre, where favorite roles include Charlotte in Charlotte’s Web, Lucille in Junie B. Jones and Mollie in Animal Farm. Regionally, she has been seen on the stages of Arizona Theatre Company, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Texas Shakespeare Festival and Virginia Shakespeare Festival. She received her MFA from the University of Washington under Jack Clay.
Taylor Maxwell (Malcolme, a Witch, a Servant, a Murderer)

A senior in the Original Works department at Cornish College of the Arts, Taylor has enjoyed the opportunity of working with Seattle Shakespeare Company. He hopes to persue an active career creating his own work in the theatre as well as helping others to explore their own.
