Leticia Lopez (Associate Director)

SSC: Debut

Leticia is a theatre artist, leadership facilitator, and youth educator. In Washington State, her directing credits include skin: deep, the 2004/04 Tribes Project ensemble touring show, her original work Corazon Furioso for the Seattle Art Museum, Las Tres Marias for the Mae West Fest, 14/48 Festival at ConWorks, Dancing at Lughnasa at the Everett Historic Theater, and Cloud Tectonics while a guest lecturer at Central Washington University, for which she was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the American College Theatre Festival. She was assistant director at Portland Center Stage to Henry Godinez of the Goodman Theatre, and was granted an observership with Bart Sher and Joan Holden for the world premiere of Nickel & Dimed: On Not Getting by in America. Leticia was an original member Teatro Meta, San Diego’s Old Globe Theater’s bilingual-bicultural wing, where she performed in several productions. Most recently, she was awarded a fellowship at the Cornerstone Theater in Los Angeles, where she assisted in premiering the Muslim-American version of You Can’t Take it With You. Leticia is a graduate of Whitman College, an alumna of the Lincoln Center Director’s Lab, and of the National Hispana Leadership Institute.


Anthony R. Marsters* (Stage Manager)

SSC: As You Like It

This is Anthony’s second show with Seattle Shakespeare Company. He graduated with a BS in Theatre Arts from the University of Idaho with an emphasis in Stage Management and Directing. Anthony has worked at Idaho Repertory Theatre and Colorado Shakespeare Festival. His next project with be as Stage Manager for Seattle Shakespeare Company’s upcoming production of Othello.

John Kirshenbaum (Scenic Designer, Technical Director)

John is honored to be in his third season at Seattle Shakespeare building playgrounds for talented actors.


Tim Wratten (Lighting Designer)

SSC: As You Like It, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, King Lear, Measure for Measure, Twelfth Night, The Tempest, Macbeth, The Merchant of Venice, Hamlet (Lighting Design)

Tim loves to play with light, and is delighted to return to Seattle Shakespeare Company to light Love’s Labour’s Lost. Here he previously lit As You Like It, Midsummer Night’s Dream, King Lear, Measure for Measure, Twelfth Night, The Tempest, Hamlet, The Merchant of Venice, and Macbeth. Having worked in British rep theatres (Bristol Old Vic, Manchester Library, Coventry Belgrade) for many years, in 1996, Tim and family decided to come and play in Seattle (the weather is the same). Since then he has completed over 40 shows, including designs for the Empty Space Theatre, New City Theatre, Seattle University, and the Alliance Theatre Atlanta.


Marleigh Driscoll (Properties)

SSC: Kate and Isabel, Macbeth, Two Gentlemen of Verona

Marleigh Driscoll is delighted to be back working with Seattle Shakespeare again. She has been a stage manager and assistant director at Book-It Repertory Theatre for I Am of Ireland, Owen Meany’s Christmas Pageant, and In a Shallow Grave; as well as the Flying Karamazov’s Fun House at A.C.T. She also designed props for Wooden O Theatre Company’s productions of Othello, Taming of the Shrew, As You Like It, TheTempest, Love’s Labour’s Lost, and Julius Caesar. Marleigh has a Master’s Degree in Architecture and worked for seven years as the Production Manager for the Drama Department at North Seattle Community College.


Nathan Anderson (Composer/Sound Designer)

SSC: The Tempest

This is Nathan’s second show with Seattle Shakespeare Company, where he was last seen performing live original music from the stage for The Tempest (2002). June 2004 marked the end of six years of service with the Empty Space Theater where Nathan worked as resident sound designer, composer, sound engineer, and musician (sometimes all four at once) for over 30 productions—a great opportunity to hone his craft through the years in a very supportive environment. As a freelance composer and designer, Nathan has worked for many theatres around town, including Annex, ArtsWest, Book-It, Capitol Hill Arts Center, Consolidated Works, Northwest Asian American Theatre, Open Circle, Seattle Children’s Theatre, SIS Productions, Theatre Babylon, and the Actor’s Theatre of Louisville.


Kimberly White (Voice and Text Director)

SSC: As You Like It, King Lear (Voice and Text Director)

Kimberly has worked with Shakespeare’s text over the past 16 years as coach, teacher, director, and producer. She has taught and coached in the Professional Actor Training Program at the University of Washington, Freehold, University of B.C., Otterbein College, and internationally at the Korean University of the Arts. Kimberly spent the past five summer seasons in Idaho where she directed and coached for Sun Valley Shakespeare Festival, a company she co-founded in 2000 and served as its Artistic Director for several years. She was Associate Director on Richard III for Harvard/Radcliff University at the Loeb Theatre. She has been a faculty member with Shakespeare and Company (Lenox, Mass.) for 11 years, and worked as “Lamentation Coach” for their ground-breaking production of Richard III.. Kimberly has also worked with Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, Seattle Children’s Theatre and served as Co-Director of the local innovative youth program Young Shakespeare Workshop. Kimberly is a Designated Linklater Voice Teacher. She is the fortunate mom of Hannah.


Lenore Bensinger (Dramaturg)

SSC: As You Like It, King Lear, Measure for Measure (Dramaturg)

Lenore is a playwright and dramaturg. This is her fourth show with Seattle Shakespeare Company. Other recent dramaturgy includes Pride and Prejudice and Travels with Charley, both directed by Jane Jones for Book-It, and Rhinoceros at the Capitol Hill Arts Center (John Farrage directing). She is currently writing As Your Doctor, a play about the pharmaceutical industry and revising her 2004 Fringe/ACT play SEED, about the Greek earth goddess, Demeter, and her daughter, Persephone.


Kate Parker (Assistant Stage Manager)

SSC: Debut

Kate is a graduate of the University of Idaho’s BFA acting program. In addition to performing, she has worked in many different areas of the theatre including scene construction, painting, props, makeup crew, house management, and stage management. Last spring she worked as a technical apprentice for Tacoma Actor’s Guild. Her next project will be playing Desdemona in the Spokane interPLAYERS Ensemble’s production of Othello.
